A new initiative through CalHope that offers FREE coaching, mental health resources, peer support, and referrals for all youth in CA.  The program is called Soluna (for ages 13-25) and BrightLife Kids (for ages 0-12).

Soluna is a free, confidential mental health app for California residents ages 13–25. It offers support, resources, and coaching to help improve mental health. 

 
Features
      • Chat with a coach: Schedule a session or drop in for a 1:1 chat with a professional coach 
         
      • Interactive tools: Use tools like Mood Log, Starboard, and Thought Shaker to destress 
         
      • Community support: Connect with a community that can help you heal trauma and break harmful cycles 
         
      • Journaling: Keep a journal to track your mental health 
         
 

How to get started 

 
  • Search for “Soluna” in the App Store or Google Play
  • Enter your California zip code and birthdate
  • Start using the app

The Soluna app is currently available in English and Spanish. If you’d like to talk to a coach one-on-one in a different language, they have coaches available who can communicate in 19 languages including:

Arabic, Armenian, Cambodian: (Khmer), Chinese: (Simplified & Traditional), Farsi: (Persian), Hindi, Hmong, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Mien, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.

 Anyone who lives in CA and is between the ages of 13-25 can access these languages through their telecoaching service.
