Academic Programs & Resources
The newly remodeled Academic Center is now open!
Located in Bldg. 160, Apt.105 just off Kula Gulf, the Academic Center offers printing and computers in the staffed area, and will soon offer faxing and a variety of other useful services for UC Berkeley students, both undergraduate or graduate. Spouses of UC Berkeley students and adult relatives are also welcome at any time.
The Academic Center has PCs, Macs, 2 scanners, and a multitude of useful software packages installed on the machines. Printed pages can be purchased at a low cost through your Cal 1 Card. Low cost report binding, faxing, and copying services are also available. In addition to our staffed area, the Academic Center contains a dedicated study area for residents who just need a quiet place to work. Simply use your own apartment key to enter.
Academic Center Hours (mid-Aug to mid-May):
- Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Sat: Closed
- Sun: Noon to 8 p.m.
Closed on all major holidays.
Academic Center Study Room:
*Please note: The Academic Center is a quiet space. To maintain this resource for concentration and study, no children under 18 are allowed.
- Only current residents of the Village are allowed to use the Computer Center.
- No food, drink, or talking on cell phones.
- Viewing pornography and other offensive materials is not permitted.
- Dependents under age 18 are not permitted to use the Computer Center facilities.

East and West Village apartment door keys will open the study room. Study rooms are available 24/7 for use unless maintenance and custodial work is required in the space. Wireless internet and study tables are available for use.

When moving in, you will likely need to schedule an appointment with Student Tech Services to help you set up your router. The sooner you reach out, the sooner we can help you get your network connection established.
