Join “Sowing Seeds of Change: Filipino Americans & Land-Based Activism” on Sunday, October 26

11:00am-1:00pm at UC Village Community Garden (735 West End Way, Albany). On the occasion of Filipino American History Month, the birthday of farmworker union leader Larry Itliong (October 25th), and the 60th anniversary of the United Farm Workers, Dr. Robyn Magalit Rodriguez and Joshua Vang from Remagination Farm will lead a workshop discussing Filipino American land-based activisms including early farmworker organizing, Philippine indigenous struggles, and their own land stewardship. They will also lead a seed-saving workshop and offer basic information on regenerative farming. This is the second of two workshops we’re hosting this month!
