San Pablo Ave Corridor Improvements

Did you know that San Pablo Ave. has the third highest number of
collisions in Alameda County?  And that it is the second-busiest bus
corridor in the County?

The Alameda County Transportation Commission, in partnership with the
cities of Berkeley and Albany, AC Transit and Caltrans, is developing
enhancements to make San Pablo Avenue safer and easier to cross for
people walking, biking and taking the bus, and upgraded routes for
bikes on parallel streets!

Pedestrian and bicycle crossing improvements
Bus stop upgrades and relocations
Traffic calming, way-finding and crossing improvements at major
streets to make biking safer and more comfortable for people of all
ages and abilities

Go to www.alamedactc.org/sanpablo to see what’s planned for your block
and provide input!

(Dedicated bus lanes and bike lanes are proposed for San Pablo Avenue
in Oakland, Emeryville and Berkeley south of Heinz Street—look for
more information on this project in spring 2023.)
