New YOGA times at the Village

University Village Recreation is also proud to announce a new addition to our weekly Yoga classes! In addition to Monday and Friday mornings, Yoga with Rita will offer a new class on Tuesday evenings from 7:20-8:45pm in the Four Corners Room. Rita is a Village community member and all her classes are free for all Village Residents.

Rita Shinkar is a certified and experienced Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher, Pregnancy Yoga teacher and Chidbirth instructor. She is also a Village Resident! During our classes we will gently strengthen our body and develop flexibility, we will learn to listen to the body signals, concentrate on our feelings and develop mindfulness.

These classes are also available for all Adult Fitness Members.

Yoga with Carla also takes place Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings!

Carla Koopal’s one-of-a-kind “Yoga for EveryBody” offers joyful yoga journeys customized to the needs of each class. She specializes in accessible multi-lineage, multi-lingual, multi-level Yoga & Yoga Therapy with bountiful benefits for each body system, and body*mind*spirit. Her teaching style is inspired by 40 years immersion in 27 yoga styles & 17 Yoga Teaching Certifications; 35 years Advanced Bodywork & Natural Therapeutics; plus Degrees in Education & Nursing. All ages & abilities are welcome, including Pre & Post Natal Moms.

Carla Koopal has 40 years expertise in 27 Yoga Styles, Teaching Certifications in 17 Styles, plus degrees in Education, Nursing, and Advanced Pain Relief Bodywork. Classes take place Mondays & Wednesdays at 7:30pm and Saturdays at 9:00am in the Crossroads room.

These classes are part of the Adult Fitness Membership along with Zumba, Aerial, Core Conditioning and Fitness Circuit Training!
