What is your maintenance problem?

Maintenance During Office Hours

For routing maintenance and emergencies during office hours, call the Village Office at 526-8505, extension 10, or walk into the office to make a repair request in person.

After Hours Maintenance

For real emergencies after office hours such as no electricity, no water, a flood, a gas leak, or sewer (toilet) back-ups, call the emergency maintenance number at 642-2828. The operator will ask for your:

  1. Name
  2. Building number
  3. Apartment number
  4. Phone number where you can be reached
  5. Description of the problem

Lockouts

If you are locked out of your apartment, go to the Village Office to borrow a key.

When the Village Office is closed, call the RA on duty at (510) 224-8298. Only residents listed on the rental agreement or visitors who have a permission slip on file with the Village Office will be let into an apartment. There are no exceptions to this policy.

The after-hours lockout charge is:

  • $20 before 11pm
  • $30 after 11pm

Phone Service

AT&T is the only phone company allowed to install or service your phone connection. The Village is required to provide one working phone jack per apartment, and will fix problems with the internal wiring. If you call another company to do repairs, you will be liable for any cost incurred and will not be reimbursed.

  • To install phone service, call 1-800-310-2355.
  • To arrange for repair of a phone jack, call 1-800-303-0103.
