Programs for Adults

It can be difficult to balance the demands of school and work with parenting and self-development. Luckily, there are many resources that can help you in all of those areas.

Meditation Class - This non-sectarian, co-ed meditation class is held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 8:00-8:45 pm in the Family Resource Center (building 123, apt 456). No meditation experience is necessary. There is a 15 minute group discussion between 8:00 and 8:15 pm, and then a 30 minute silent meditation period from 8:15 to 8:45 pm. For information call 876-9616.

Bear Tracks Pedometer Program - Bear Tracks is a pedometer program designed to get the campus community up and moving. Sign up and receive a free pedometer and information about tracking your body metrics (blood pressure, resting heart rate, etc.) Read more and sign up here.

Open Mic Night - Come relax and get away from it all through music! Every last Friday of the month, meet in the Community Center to sing and have a good time. Just bring yourself and some sheet music - piano accompanist provided.

Project Peace East Bay - Project Peace cultivates better communities by working together with faith-based groups and social service providers on social, economic and environmental projects that contribute to forming more sustainable East Bay communities. All interested volunteers are welcome to take part in the following Project Peace service opportunities:

  • Monthly Service Projects: Small groups of between 8 to 12 people volunteer regularly with various Social Service Providers.
  • Days of Peace: Quarterly events in which large groups of community volunteers serve for three hours on a Saturday morning in order to complete specific tasks for local Social Service Providers.
  • We also welcome skilled volunteers to help with various Project Peace administrative and planning tasks.
