Proper Removal of Dog Waste

Dear Residents,

We have recently received a complaint that dog owners are not picking up after their dogs around building #132. The Village currently has more than 100 approved accommodation animals. Owners of accommodation animals are responsible for keeping their animals on leash control outside of their apartments and to pick up after their animals--this includes disposing of poop bags properly in the trash bin. Failure to do so is a violation of Residential Conduct and may incur a cleanup service fee.

Residents can submit a work order for grounds staff to clean any feces that were not disposed of properly at https://maintenance.housing.berkeley.edu/ or in person at the main Village office to ensure timely removal. If you witness the incident and know where the owner of the dog lives, you may report it to village@berkeley.edu with a detailed description of the dog if available.

Thank you for your help in keeping the community a safe place to live.

Regards,

University Village Staff
